End of Summer Edition : Rock-It

All Australian Freakout!
Sunday March 19th

Rock It No.8 in December slammed us into the summer season in glorious style with monster international line up featuring the Foo Fighters, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Wolfmother and more.
It must have been a good one because then summer was too scared to show up in Perth until 2 months later.

Summer might have stiffed us but WA’s very own Rock-It festival is about as loyal and reliable as an event could be to the people of Western Australia and we’re going to end this weird summer by delivering the people of Western Australia an awesome ALL AUSTRALIAN edition of WA’s favourite rock event.
Not just a huge line up that shows the world just how great Australian music is but a scorching ticket price, huge production, the cheapest event food and beverage prices in the country, the lush green grass of Arena Joondalup, the WA sunshine and that unmistakable Rock-It comfort and vibe.

BAND SITE

SILVERCHAIR
Rock-It is proud to welcome one of Australia’s greatest bands and international success stories – Silverchair.

They headlined our first ever Rock-It in 1999 and it’s a pleasure to have them back as they crank it up for a much anticipated new album in 2006.

Last playing in Perth on their Diorama tour, Silverchair sold out two Belvoir Amphitheatres and played in the rain with an unforgettable backdrop of thunder and lightning.

For those who were there it was a religious experience!

Multi talented, multi-platinum international heroes and Australian born and bred!!!

BAND SITE

GRINSPOON
Rock-it favourites and the emperors of festival rock … a hard act to follow!

Having released their chart busting greatest hits album ‘Best in Show’ late in 2005 (just to prove how many cracking rock hits they have) the boys didn’t want to miss a West Aussie summer and are amped and ready to rock the Arena at their favourite Aussie festival.

BAND SITE

BUTTERFINGERS
Just like the name suggests, these slippery chaps have used mischief and mayhem to build a huge fanbase around the country over the last couple of years.

Independent and always controversial in both content and delivery (live and on video) no mother, no conservative and no religious person is safe from the long reach of Butterfingers.

BAND SITE

FAKER
Faker have certainly come a long way since their first Rock-It appearance in 2005.

Their debut album 'Addicted Romantic' has garnered a string of radio hits and their latest single 'Hurricane' came in at number 21 on Triple J's Hottest 100. Energy, melody, action! Awesome!

BAND SITE

AFTER THE FALL
It's an 'old school Rock ethic' type thing that seems to be a running theme with this band. After the Fall are as much influenced by The Angels, AC/DC or Midnight Oil as they are by their modern day punk rock contemporaries and this is what defines their distinctive sound.

Angular rock, brash and energetic but with melody and angst that gives it the voice of right now..

BAND SITE

HOT LIES
The Hot Lies burst onto the scene when their home recorded demo 'Bullets and Blacklines' hit high rotation on Triple J.

Now after two years of playing packed pubs and clubs throughout WA and Australia the boys are ready to bring the fury of their live shows to the big Rock-It stage.

SNOWMAN
Like a B-Movie horror film gone horribly right Snowman bring their psychedelic, mind-bending jazz-punk rhythms to kick off the first Rock-It of this year. Oh and they want to eat your brains.
