FEATURING NILE RODGERS

Ahhh, Freak Out! Chic feat Nile Rogers is heading to Perth and is set to get you dancing like the good old days!

There is little doubt Chic was disco's greatest band; taking the early 70s disco back to the raw, stripped and absurd. Featuring Nile Rodgers' ingenious rhythmic guitar playing that did not only take Chic to the charts again and again, but also made them some of the most successful producers of the 80s.

Their self-titled debut album, Chic released in 1977, saw this self-professed 'rock band for the disco movement' strip disco's sound down to its best and most basic elements; funky, stylish grooves. It was pure interplay and the world lapped it up.

Chic's distinctive approach resulted in some of the finest disco/ dance singles of their (and our) time: 'Dance, Dance, Dance', 'Everybody Dance', 'Le Freak', 'I Want Your Love' and 'Good Times'. They also created a template for the funk, dance-pop and hip hop sounds of the future - the Sugarhill Gang used the Good Times groove for their hit 'Rappers Delight' (some variation of the Good Times bass line went on to be used by a further 60 rap, dance and rock songs).

The band's founding member, Nile Rodgers, is a productions powerhouse, producing all the bands own work as well as blockbuster albums for David Bowie (Let's Dance) and Madonna (Like A Virgin).

Inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005, Chic are officially legendary.

Don't miss this magical evening. These are (most definitely) the good times!
